Key Assumptions Tracking
To speed up your research workflow, we integrated generative AI in the application. Instead of defining your key assumptions and the relevant keywords, DataScouts will do the grunt work for you.
DataScouts will auto-generate key assumptions based upon your scope definition, starting with a Market Scan perspective to provide a broad understanding of the market landscape and gradually enhancing your understanding of the market by diving into the Market Maturity Analysis, Ecosystem Health Analysis as well as Blind Spot Analysis.
You can always add a new key assumption manually or generate a set of max. 5 new key assumptions, after you accepted or dismissed all existing new key assumptions.
The color coding of the Key Assumptions helps you track your progress. New Key Assumptions have a blue label and need to be accepted or dismissed.
Upon accepting a Key Assumption, the label turns yellow indicating the validation is in progress.
Upon completing the validation process, you can indicate whether a key assumption is true (green) or false (red) based on the collected evidence.
NOTE: all your existing key assumptions are migrated to NEW (blue) key assumptions of a Market Scan.
When you open a new Key Assumption, you will see the title and description of the key assumption.
You can always edit the description by clicking on the EDIT button.
A good key assumption should be straightforward and easily understandable to anyone involved in the decision making process. A well written key assumption makes it easier to validate or refute with data.
By clicking on the “generate evidence” button, the platform will search through all content in your knowledge base and summarize the main findings of articles confirming or challenging the key assumption. The platform will provide links to the relevant articles.
Minerva Chatbot
In case you like to better understand the statements or identify relevant actors or more sources, you can use the new chatbot to pose your questions.
Open the chatbot by clicking on the top icon in the right handle navigation. Write your question in the Ask Minerva box at the bottom and be patient while Minerva is thinking.
You can then copy and paste additional information and add it as evidence.
Use the drop down at the top of the screen to indicate the progress you are making and to re-assign the Key Assumption to another step of your market research. Here you can also change the status of your validation.
Generate and Publish Conclusions
Once you have collected all evidence, the DataScouts platform helps to summarize all findings in a concise conclusion. You can easily publish this conclusion as a snapshot, making it visible to your colleagues that are registered on the platform.
Weekly Digest
Every weekend, the DataScouts platform will generate a short summary of the main signals, events, and manifestations for each key assumption.
This summary of the most significant findings will be published on the welcome page or sent to your mailbox, when you have activated the notifications (via the right handle navigation).
We believe that these new features will significantly enhance your ability to make informed, data-driven decisions, reducing risks and maximizing opportunities.
Navigation
We slightly updated the left navigation bar. We combined the key steps in the workflow:
1. Key Assumptions Tracking and Validation
2. Stakeholder Landscape
3. Scenario Mapping
We removed the Key Trends and Industry forces, as we saw low adoption of these research templates.
The scope definition has been moved to the bottom of the screen as it is a fundamental element of gearing the market research in the right direction.
Thank you for trusting DataScouts to support your Market Intelligence needs. We look forward to continuing to serve you with even more powerful tools.
Warm regards,
Team DataScouts
